God’s goodness is prominent throughout the Bible! And we the faithful proclaim His goodness continuously in our worship and through our prayers. But one must examine if the heart subscribes to what the mouth declares.
God is abundantly Good, but do we recognise His goodness in our lives and through every circumstance? And God is sufficiently wise, but do we rely on God’s wisdom; laying down our will in favour of His? God is the almighty and the ever merciful, but do we trust Him to carry us through all seasons of life; giving Him total reign over our lives?
For to declare that God is good, sufficiently wise, powerful and merciful, we must first experience His presence in our lives. Only then could we testify that the mighty God can turn even the most dire of situations to the benefit of those who humbly seek Him and lay down their ego in acceptance of His will. Is there anything more comforting for the soul?

Prayer

Lord allow me to discern Your goodness in my life so that I may grow to trust You with my all.
