Are You on the Right Track?

Dear child of God, you ought to know that you are created to be so much more. Are You on the Right Track (Tweet this)

As an heir to the Kingdom of Heaven, you belong to the majestic family of Christ. (Tweet this)

God placed you on this very earth to reflect His light into a dark world. (Tweet this)

Why then do you strive to conform to the norms of the world? Why do you seek to be demoted to the level of ordinary?

Are you not aware that you are called to live by a higher moral standard than that which the people of this world deem acceptable? For you, to live is to strive for perfection, to lead a holy life, and to live out your calling. This manner of Living, as St Paul teaches, is Christ. [1]

One might consider that living by such standards is impossible, and it surely is, if we depend on our own power and will. Fortunately we need not rely on our weak nature, since you and I have access to a much greater power. As a Christian, you were equipped with the power of the Holy Spirit at the day of your anointing. Within you resides the Spirit of the Divine God. Your whole being is a true temple of God for that very reason. [2]

To carry the Holy Spirit within you is an outstanding honor, one that no man is worthy of. It is through the grace of God alone that you were granted union with the Holy Spirit in order to strengthen you for the difficult path of life that lay ahead of you. For the path you are to embark on is far less frequently travelled, and many who have attempted the journey have fallen by the wayside. [3] These poor souls were either not prepared for the journey, or were blindly following the lost souls walking ahead of them.

What must you do to ensure you make it throughout the way into your Father’s Kingdom? You must never losing sight of the heavenly destination. Trust and follow the ultimate Guide, who is none other than Christ Himself.

Arm yourself with the armor of God in order to stand firm against the attacks of the evil powers that seek to throw you off the path of salvation. [4]

[4]10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[a] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints‘-(Ephesians 6:10-18)
