Isaiah 43:19
Little did the bridegroom of Cana know that his wedding was to be remembered throughout all generations. The festivities were nothing short of glorious on account of the One who was numbered amongst the guests. When the wine had run dry, the King of Glory manifested Himself at the request of His mother in order to satisfy his host and the guests. Christ moreover did not merely bring forth wine out of water, but the very best wine for all to enjoy.
“Whatever He says to you, do it” was Our Lady’s instruction to the servants at the feast. And the blessed mother’s instruction is just as relevant to each of us. We too ought to leave all things, with confidence, in the Hands of our Lord, trusting that only He can provide in abundance when in time of need. Only He can take the ordinary and transform it in to the extraordinary. The world may offer water, but only God can transform it to the sweetest wine.
Prayer
My Lord, I implore you to take my life and transform it with Your sweetness as You transformed the water to wine at the Wedding of Cana.
