Perfection in the life of the Christian is attainable, and should be constantly pursued. It consists of the constant struggle to adhere the desires of the heart to the perfect will of God. It involves the putting to death of the ego and its carnal desires, daily, for the sake of Him who was put to death for our sake. And it is sealed in love. Love for Him who is the image of Love, and love for thy neighbour who bears that very image of God.

By this way of living, our will becomes entwined with the will of God and our lives progress towards the path of Christian perfection. It is this journey of growth in Christ that leads us towards a gradual and holy transformation. When we have reached this point we shall have attained Christian perfection.
