  It is a nice thought, but do you think it is a good concept of the Bible? Being ‘the directory of life.’ I agree that it is authoritative, but the Bible is an anthology of ancient literature. This makes it sounds somewhat like a tool or guidebook or a map, at least from my perspective, though that may not be the intention.

    Thanks so much for your comment. I do believe that the Bible is a directory of life but also so much more than that.

    This quote was from a blog post I wrote about Heaven (https://spirituallygrounded.wordpress.com/2013/10/01/are-you-destined-for-heaven/). Within the context of that blog post, I do liken the Bible to a road map or a directory since the Bible provides us with clear guidance about how we ought to live on earth in order to reach our heavenly destination.
