Walked right out of Heaven

Prayer for overcoming tribulation. You are an image of God, created with intention, to live in harmony with your Creator. One can only imagine the bliss and glory of such a state of dwelling before corruption entered the world. For you, as did Adam, were to abide in the Paradise of joy, in the presence of the Holy Trinity. The Father, who sits in Glory above the heavens, willed you into existence so that He may bestow uncontainable Love upon you. The Logos of the Father, the only begotten Son, was to dwell with you, guiding you, guarding you and teaching you the means by which you ought to honor and worship God. And the Holy Spirit; was to dwell within you in order to sanctify your body, mind, and spirit. [1]

Adam and Eve however were expelled from this place of ecstasy by willfully disobeying the law of the Lord. The moment they plucked the forbidden fruit was the moment they gave up their citizenship in Paradise, for no man can do evil and remain in the presence of God. Adam and Eve became aware of evil since they had experienced evil through their disobedience. As a result, sin was quick to infect them and their offspring; amongst whom we are counted. That is precisely why the Psalmist declares that we were conceived in sin [2]. Our nature has been corrupted and inclined to act wickedly.

Every sin we commit distances us from the place of bliss, the place where God dwells, the place called home. (Tweet this)

Ultimately, every sin we commit blinds our eyes, our minds and our understanding. We become disoriented and lose sight of where heaven, our true home, really is.
